OK, heres the deal - I've got several sample cds(.WAV) that I use with ACID - Can I use a midi keyboard to control the drum hits? I want to play the drum sounds through a keyboard. Also, can I record in real time this way? I saw this little midi keyboard called oxygen and it made me think.....mmmmmmmmm Thanks, Im a complete idiot when it comes to MIDI |

Take a look at Native's Battery. http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?battery_us There are several others tat deal mostly with drumsamples, I think the current Computer Music issue (UK) has an article on this. They even had a free drum plugin a few issues back. Yes, you can record midi in Acid. There is a choice between audio/midi when you hit the record button. There are practically no midi-editing though. You will probably be better off with some simple sequencer and render the midi-track to Acid as audio afterwards. Some sequensers have options for construction drumtracks via plugins or other methods. |
