Still Images render beyond TV screen edges

I am really confused on this. If I add a series of images ti a project and create a VCD by rendering as MPEG1 or a DVD rendered with MPEG2, the images on the TV screen go slightly beyond the top and bottom of the screen. The DVD looks all right if it is played in the computer's DVD drive. I have tried varying the project type and the rendering options but the images still overun the TV screen edges. Stretch video option is not on. Does anyone know how to get the images to size properly for a TV screen? Thanks...

Set the project to a VideoCD template. Turn on the safe area overlay. Keep your titles inside the inner rectangle and you should be ok.

Thanks. Setting the project template to NTSC VideoCD did not solve the problem. I have to use Track Motion to effectively "zoom out" so the images are within the safe areas. Is this the proper way to accomplish this? Thanks...

Yes, either that or Pan/Crop.

Keep in mind that if anyone does view your video on a computer monitor, they will see a blank border around the outside of the image. If this doesn't bother you, then all is well. In the future though, it might be good to keep the safe areas in mind when taking or scanning the pictures.

You could also place a "pretty background" in a track above the main track, and this will fill the border instead of having it black.
