Subject:Opening SF 6 from Vegas and Acid.

When working in Vegas I often open events in Sound Forge for some fine tuning. When I do this, I edit the file, save it, close it and go back to Vegas. I don't close Sound Forge though as I need it often and don't want to wait for the splash screen and all each time. However, the SF 6 Beta won't work this way. I have to close it each time to open another event from Vegas or Acid. If I don't close it, then the Sound Forge window comes up, but it's blank. The file doesn't open. Even trying to "Open Copy in Sound Forge" from Vegas give me a status bar on making a copy but then SF pops up blank again. Also, 24 bit files play OK, but before opening, I get an error message saying that the file contained an illegal marker or region and that the illegal marker or region was corrected. If I save the file, then this message doesn't come back. If I don't save the file, this message comes back every time with all 24 bit files. It doesn't appear to affect the playability or sound of the file though. Of course I'll send this directly to Sonic Foundry with error details and all, but I wondered if anyone else was having a similar problem. Dave |

Perhaps it's just a quirk in my system. Good to know as I'm leaning heavily toward buying SF 6. Just hope this little thing is taken care of in the final release. Dave |

Yes, sorry about that, this is a known issue on our must fix list. Thanks for the input. |
