Just some very easy and basic ideas please--just learning Sound Forge! Tell me where to find it to play around with that shows a real difference between using a function or not (the preview?). Also, what should my db number be on any song I want to make into a CD? I want ALL of them to be at the same volume but don't know each step yet how to do that! Thanks to all! Diane Marshall |

First, if you mean that you want to A/B something BEFORE you actually process it, check and uncheck that little "Bypass" box while previewing the music. Second, record all of your stuff as loud as possible WITHOUT going into the red and clipping! Then, whe all the songs are recorded, split them into seperate files if needed, then use the normalization RMS to make all of them the same volume. The presets work well for this. |
