Acoustic mirror stopped working with SF6 in SF5 -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:Acoustic mirror stopped working with SF6 in SF5 Posted by: Buckskin Date:4/12/2002 3:10:54 PM I recently installed SF6, and now (even after uninstalling 6) Acoustic mirror will not load in SF5f. It gives me a dialogue box that says: The plug-in Acoustic mirror could not be run. One or more components required to run this plug in may be missing (80040154h) Check to ensure the following path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available. Blah, blah, blah... the path and filename are correct. Tried to reinstall, reinstalled build e(after uninstalling SF completely) then reinstalled build f. still no accoustic mirror, and the same message appears. What do I do?????

To fix this please delete the following files and then re-run the installer for 5.0f with the repair option. sfhammer.dll sfmirror.dll located under the shared plug-ins/audio If this does not work then you have to Unistall\Reinstall 5.0f sorry for the inconvinience and thank you for trying out our beta.

As it stands now, I will have to keep SF 5.0 when SF 6.0 is released. I want them both. Personally, I think 6.0 smokes 5.0 and everyone's beloved 4.5!

Deleting the sfhammer.dll & sfmirror.dll files for SF5.0f, and then re-running the installer for 5.0f with the repair option did the trick. Now all is well again. Billy Buck

I used the SM57 impulse on a guitar recorded direct from an effects processor, and the difference, the life, air, space, and energy added, is quite amazing. What a great piece of software! Yes, I'd be bummed too if mine stopped working. Dave

Tried to reinstall, reinstalled build e(after uninstalling SF completely) then reinstalled build f. still no accoustic mirror, and the same message appears.

What do I do?????
