New demo software problems

Hi there,
I downloaded the demo software and the effects worked ok but using the transitions immediately slowed the timeline down to a crawl - as though the processor could not cope. ( 1.8 AMD, 1 gig RAM and I live in PAL land)

Switching to previous Vegas projects ( with none of the new effects on them ) gave the same result; the timeline played almost like a series of snaphots!
I eliminated a processor problem as non-Vegas video and projects played as normal.
I downloaded the demo again but nothing changed so I decided to uninstall.

However, even though the Vegas Video plugins do not show on my Windows programme list, and the folder does not appear to be on my hard drive, the demo transitions and effects still show in Vegas; even when I start a new project!

My preference would be to have the new toys working as brilliantly as the rest of Vegas does ( has done! ). If not I would like to get my system back to the pre-demo
state.
Can you help?

Thanks,
Max

I also had a problem after installing the new plugin pack: I got black frames and no audio within captured clips. Had to uninstall VV3.0 and start all over again. Made Sonic aware of the problem.

I just downloaded the demo, but after reading this post I am hesitant to install it... Has anyone else experience this situation?? S.F., is there a bug or is it safe to install? One more ? is the same thing happening with the actual download or is is just with the demo??

Thanks

supercoach:
if you are running xp operating system
just do a "system restore" for the day before you downloaded vv plugin
i have put in many many many programs that messed up my computer
when i restore my computer to a day earlier---my program is gone and so is my problem
good luck

Many thanks,

Yes, I am running XP and the "system restore" worked a treat.

Thanks again,
