Hello I'm a pretty new user of Sound Forge. What I want to do is to compress my 3, 7 mb .mp3 music files so they would be below 1mb. I want to put them on the web so I need them smaller. So far the only way I could find to do this was to cut some of the music. Is there any other way? Or a way that would enable to cut music so that the cut parts would fit smoothly with the rest? |

You can save them at a lower bitrate. You can go as low as 32Kbps and still have them sound "pretty good" if not wonderful. At that bit rate you should be able to fit about 4 minutes per megabyte or so. |

Try saving at a lower bitrate, like 32 Kbps. You'll have to click the "Custom" button in order to do this. Iacobus |
