Subject:24/88.2 with Batch Converter: options & order

Hey everyone, I just bought Batch Converter 5, and would like to convert some of my .wav music (soon to be .ape) to 24/88.2.

I would like the conversion to be as accurate to the original as possible (all files were ripped using the latest EAC with UltraPlexWide).

So, what is the best order for the 2 plug-ins? Resample>Bit Depth, or Bit Depth>Resample? Should I use dithering? Should I use anti-aliasing? Should I use noise-shaping? Should I set the sample-rate only, and not actually resample?

Many question, and I hope someone can help. It is my impression that noise-shaping actually takes out information...at least this is what LAME noise-shaping does...I don't understand how bit-depth dither works without extra sample-rates to fill in the bit-info, and I don't understand how anti-aliasing the resample works without the extra bits to work with...thus it seems that plug-in order is very important.

Here is my somewhat uneducated idea for the script would be:
Order: Resample>Bit Depth
Resample: Set sample-rate only
Bit Depth: High-pass triangular, no shaping

Any help, suggestions, reading, or experience is appreciated,
~Matthias
