hi i have a problem. i am running a loop in the recordmode of acid and i want to record sound from another aplication on my pc. the problem is, that not only the other sound, also the current acidloop is recorded? what can i do, that the acidloop is not recorded? i am using windows xp and the soundblaster audigy card. thanks for your help |

Your recording source is probably the Audigy monitor where the faders are up both for wave-playing and wherever your other recrding comes from. You have to set up the recording source in Acid to let through just your new recording or maybe you can get away with muting the old loop if you do not need to hear this loop when recording. |

thanks for that..... but i have to hear the loop, and the new audio source is also a wav. so, i cannot mute anything.... but isn't it possible to work with audimapper? but i don't know how???? |

You need a sound card that has more than 2 inputs. With my Delta 1010, which is 8 in and out, I can playback on 1&2 while recording 3&4. I hear both of them but they don't combine. Midiman has a 4 in and out card too, which is less expensive but is just as good as mine. |
