48khz audio req'd for dvd!

I know there are some expensive dvd authoring programs that you can actually import WAV files, but is it true it MUST be 48khz?

I use DVDit PE 2.1 for authoring. You must use 48Khz Wav files for the background music on menus. What I usually do is this: I have Nero Burning ROM 5.5.8.0 installed, which comes with Nero Wave Editor. I just load the MP3 or Wav that I want to use into Nero Wave Editor and then turn around and save it as a 48Khz Wav. Works just fine!!!! I don't believe DVD Workshop by Ulead is picky, though it might have a built in conversion to the 48Khz standard, but at least it will save you an extra step and software expense! Hope this helps
