Subject:Unable to display Real Time Wave Form when recording!

Please help - I'm a newbie with this!

I must have altered a setting somewhere which has resulted in a grey desktop background when I'm recording instead of the real-time waveform which I much prefer.

I'd be very grateful if you could tell me how to get this display back again!
