Newbie here,

Is the "acidpro30f_bld348.exe" file from the download site an upgrade? Does it fix some problems or what? I can't find any info on it. Could someone enlighten me please.

Yes on both counts. The update can act as either an update to your existing install or as a new installation.

Any serious bugs are usually squashed with new builds/versions. I would definitely recommend picking it up, especially if you're stuck somewhere back at 3.0c.
