CD burning from VV3

VU-1 wrote on 4/5/2002, 12:19 PM
Has anybody else been having any trouble at all burning either a DAO or TAO CD from within VV3?

I have a TEAC CDRE55S SCSI burner that works flawlessly with CDArchitect, Acid Pro 3.0 and Adaptec Easy CD Creator, but I can't get VV3 to even test burn a disc (even though it recognizes my burner).

Anybody?

Thanks for the input.

Jeff,

Is it giving an error message? If so, what is it? What OS are you using?

If you haven't done so, update to Vegas 3.0a. We fixed several burning issues with the update.

Thanks.

DaveS -

Thanks for your reply. I am currently working with Joshua D. (of SF) on this problem & we have been through all the questions you are asking.

I am wanting to see if anyone else has encountered this problem - or is it just my burner or something.

Anyone else having problems?

It is not just you. Win98SE Problems weren't fixed in the VV3a update.
I have ditched a Plextor 24/10/40 because it didn't work with VV3's CDA capabiltity. I am now using a Yamaha 24/10/40 - but even this (which claims compatibility on Yamaha's web-site) only does 6X maximum with VV3. This is OK though as I can use Nero for tests and data, and use VV3 for more serious mastering work at slower speeds.
Good Luck.

(Glad) to know I'm not the only one having problems burning CDs. But is this a Win98SE issue, or a VV3 issue?
