I've taken an .mp3 and made some modifications, then tried to save it as an .mp3 to another file folder, but the program will not let me. I get an error message: "unable to save the selected format". What gives here? It seems that Sound Forge should be able to save a modified .mp3 |

In the save as menu after you've selected .MP3 click on the "Custom" button. In there it will tell you if the MP3 option has been registered. It probably will say that it is unregistered and has "0" saves left if it is currently not working. You can then contact tech support and have them register the MP3 plugin for you. |

I've long since registered the mp3 plug-in myself and am still running into the same error message...there is nothing under "custom" to indicate it hasn't taken or anything. Nothing on the splash screen about registering....know what gives? (BTW, Rednroll, I was told by SF exactly what you had answered about the deal w/ having to register the product...they want to see if it's even worth it and they pay the company who owns the program $5 every time someone registers it----still think it's a pain how often you have "register" your SF product) |

I've had similar problem: when copying files to hard drive from backup CD-R, they seem to copy as "read-only". I can record a new audio track in a new song (in ACID PRO 3.0) just fine, but when I try to record new audio track onto the copied files, the track doesn't render. I've done a "Save as" another file name, cut/pasted the directory and changed file names, set the read-only attributes in Windows Explorer to non-read only status, and even done the same in a DOS command line using 'attrib' command. So far, no luck. Any suggestions? |
