Subject:Acid Pro 3 not loading!! HELP!!

I just installed a new hard drive just for music, so i downloaded the new demo of Acid Pro 3.0f.

Once it gets to the splash screen, it locks up. Never gets past the splash screen.

Im using:

Windows 98 SE
512 PC133 Ram
40 gig 7200rpm hard drive
terratec ewx 24/96
athlon 1.2 gig cpu

please help!!

Try using CTRL+ALT+DELETE and highlight each active program except "Explorer" and "Systray" and click "End Task". (You may have to perform "End Task" again for stubborn programs.) Then try launching ACID again.

Be sure to also have the latest drivers for both your video card and your soundcard, as both are typical culprits for software problems.

Do you have any DirectX plug-ins installed(Especially any in demo mode)?

If you have any other DirectX-compatible apps on your machine, do any of the items on the DirectX List seem to not really be for digital signal processing? If so, try and remove the associated app.

A list of any/all other relevant software installed might help make this more diagnosable as well.
