Does anyone has got practice & experience in mastering DAT or other 24-bit-files to CD-standard? The present possibilities in SF5 are rectangular, triangular, highpass triangular and gaussian? What is the difference to algorithms like Apogee UV22 or SONY Super bit mapping? I've heard that 80% of todays charts consist of songs that were mastered to 16bits with UV22HR - and they say it sounds like 20bits...

I favor Triangular with a dither depth of 1. If you want a wider choice you should look at getting another software of hardware, as SF is very limited in it's dithering and noise shaping ability.

I use Cool Edit for this.
