Question? What other programs can be ran with Acid? Do they have to be direct X compatible? In other words will a program like Halion or Giga sampler be functional within Acid? Does anyone know of any programs that can be run in Acid?

ACID Pro definitely can be used in conjunction with other programs, just not in way that you'd like to (at least maybe for now).

ACID Pro can, for example, export tracks as they are in their entirety (incl. volume, FX, events, etc.) to be used in other programs like Pro Tools, Vegas, Sound Forge, et. al. (It also happens to be the only version of ACID that can do this.)

Halion is made by Steinberg wich have their own standard, VS.
They will probably not make a DX-version.

Nemesys/Tascam says that Gigastudio performance will be unacceptable when used as a plugin. Apparently it works at the kernel level and only the user interface is routed through windows.
