I use Acid Xpress - and just bought the SAMS Teach yourself Acid book to get familiar with the full versions features. Cannot seem to install full version demo of Pro 3.0 (when Xpress is already there)

Any suggestions?

Have you tried installing the demo of ACID Pro 3 into another folder?

If I could not install the demo alongside ACID XPress, I would try uninstalling XPress and see if that works. If it did, I would just keep XPress uninstalled until I was done with the demo.

Ummm...was that a question? :)

If it was, the answer is pretty straightforward.

You start a new project, then add tracks by double-clicking on a loop you've chosen in the explorer window. Then, using either the Draw Tool or the Paint Tool, start drawing or painting in events on the timeline.

It can get a whole lot more complicated than that (which also depends on the version of ACID that you have), but that's it in a nutshell.

I think that kellbrooker is referring to the name of the Chapter of the Acid 3.0 book that I clearly have not read thoroughly enough.

Hey, BTW - all this talk of Acid 4.0 on the forum. For a punter like I that is saving (and hanging out) to upgrade to the full version of 3.0 - should i be hanging in there?

I still have had just so many hours of enjoyment and results from using Acid Xpress
