Another application modifying sound file - truncates file!!! -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:Another application modifying sound file - truncates file!!! Posted by: SonicCaveDan Date:4/2/2002 12:37:16 PM While editing sound files, I've been getting the message "Another application has modified the sound file xyz. The file has been updated in Sound Forge and a new peak file will now be rebuilt". If I don't ctrl-alt-del quit SF 5.0, the file is truncated by a few seconds! Why is this happenning? I use SF in conjunction with MS Excel for creating and organizing regions in sound files. All the organization for the regions is in Excel. I've been doing this for a while, but only recently did this start happening - possibly since I upgraded to 5.0f build 259. Any help would be greatly appreciated ... dwf
