If so, are you trying to record the MIDI output on an external device? Or are you trying to record the sound you hear from it as audio inside Sound Forge? If you want to do that last one, the only way i've found is to open up another sound recording program (you can't have Sound Forge 5 running in two different windows at the same time. grrrrrrr) and record the "Mixed Output, PC Speaker, or What You Hear" recording input from the sound card. Then you can save the file you've recorded and open it up in Sound Forge.
