Well Im just tryin to figure out how to record multiple trackes so I can lay down different stuff on the same thing like on n-track studio. Is there something im missing here, I can only seem to do a single track recording. Any info would be just great . I would like to record my vocals while I listen to my guitar that I recorded, is this possible? I sure wish this were easy like n-track. Oy vay.

Not to burst your bubble, but Sound Forge is an audio editor, not a multitrack recorder. Vegas is much more suited to that task.

Sounds like you just want to arrange what you've recorded into a composition instead of record everything at once? If so, Sound Forge will still help you record a track or take one by one. You'll just need either Vegas and/or ACID (Pro if you want 24-bit) to arrange a project. (All three apps happen to compliment each other.)

Regardless, you should have an audio editor like Sound Forge anyway to clean up/tweak/enhance/f--k up your material.

If you have the full version of Sound Forge 5 (not the XP Studio version), then you're also eligible for a free license for Vegas Audio LE 2.0. You can download it from the same page where you downloaded Sound Forge 5. VA LE is limited to 8 tracks, but that's still plenty to get your feet wet.

Thanks for pointing that out, Chienworks. I forgot to mention that. Definitely a great way to get familiar with Vegas.
