How can I delete the automatic generation of the .sfk file while opening a .wav file? |

Well, for one thing, you probably don't want to disable this. Without the .sfk file there would be no waveform display in Sound Forge. I know it takes a while sometimes, but it is very useful. The newer versions, 3.0e and 3.0f, are supposed to be a lot better about not cluttering up your drive with old leftover .sfk files. Have you downloaded an update recently? |

Hi, You may simply want the files to open quicker (?). Because I'm assuming the SFK files themselves don't bother you (why would they?). If so, select the "Open file directly" (or something like that), in the Open box. This will only create the SFK the first time you open the file, then after that, the file will open almost instantly.
