Brady Bunch effect - splitting screens

I have read the various articles in this forum about using several video feeds to create one screen with several small videos running - the only thing is that I can't get it working.

Could someone post a step for step guide how to do this, as the generalisation "use the pan/scan/edit feature" or "track motion feature" doesn't help me much.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

the track motion feature is actually kind of self-explanatory. That's probably the reason why people do not go into details => the track motion button is the first of the 4 buttons above the track's volume fader. Click it, and the track motion window will open. Now use the mouse (or the parameter values) to scale and position the video. Let's say you want to divide the screen into 4 small videos, you'll have to use track motion for all for videos (-tracks). Scale every video to a quarter of the full screen size and then move video #1 to the upper left corner, video #2 to the upper right etc.

Play a bit with track motion and you'll understand how it works. It's rather easy. Have a lok at the online manual for details.

hope that helps.
