Subject:Saving an avi file as mp3

I am trying to extract the audio from an avi file and when i select save as mp3, i get a window that says:
ERROR
This page was unable to load
Please contact your vendor for further assistance.

Then it says it can't save as the requested format.

I am using SoundForge XP Studio 5.ob (build 162) on Windows XP.

Please let me know how I can save the audio as an mp3. Thank you
