I am such a novice...I have a project to do, found this site, downloaded the free software and am having a ball...produced my first radio spot for the web...however, I need music to play behind it...any suggestions, what can I do, or is there a place that give me the 1,2,3's of putting music in with voice and sound effects on top?
Any help someone can give me would be great.
Thanks,

Russ

You need multi-tracking software like Vegas. Or you can "paste>special ... mix" to try to mix the audio files. It's not as easy as it would be if you were using Vegas though.

You might want to consider ACID Pro, Sound Forge's sister product.

With ACID, you could take the existing track that you have that you made with Sound Forge and layer loops (or other types of tracks) underneath it.

Vegas is a good choice too, especially for true multitracking, but not quite as flexible for music creation as ACID is.

You can use the "Mix" feature in SF to add music, VOs, ect. Copy what you want to put in and Right-click, select Mix. For more info see the on-line help or the SF owners manual. Make a copy of your original file in case something "goes wrong" since once you save, it can't be un-done.
