Subject:Sound Forge 5.0f & Windows 2K Pro Problem

I am editing on a Rex RT and recently upgraded form NT4.0 to Windows 2KPro. I've installed Sound Forge 5.0f and everything works except the "Extract Audio from CD". My CD is a TEAC CD-ROM CD-532S SCSI. (My other drives are IDE.) The TEAC is listed in the Drive drop down list but no tracks appear in the window. Sound Forge tech support confirmed that this is a known issue and they suggested that I download EZ SCSI.EXE from the Adaptec site to correct this "ASPI Layer" problem. Unfortunately the EZ SCSI.EXE is not recommended for Win2K. The 2nd suggestion was to download the latest version of Windows Media Player. I did that but the problem persists. Suggestions? |

There is another issue with Windows 2000 and that you need to be logged on as Administrator or the Extract Audio CD doesn't work. SonicFoundry knows about this because they told me--I had the same problem. |

Found and installed the ASPI Layer from Adaptec and I changed my log in to Administrator, Extract Audio CD still won't work. Has anyone else experienced this problem and solved it? |
