just wondering - I've got the Audiophile 2496 card and Acid music 1.0 - thinking about the upgrade to Acid Pro - I want to record 2 tracks of acoustic guitar in real time with the loops - is this possible? Does Acid have EQ? or do I need Vegas Audio? - I want top quality here - also what is the optimum memory for this? - Ive got like 384mb now on a p3-500mhz Thanks!!!! |

Yes. EQ may be applied to individual tracks as well as to any bus or master output. Keep in mind that ACID only allows recording of one track at a time. If you absolutely must record multiple tracks simultaneously, then you'll need to record in Vegas. |

Yes, Pro has the ability to take a track and duplicate it to the next track. Later. |

In addition to what everyone's said, if you've got the budget, spring for Sound Forge too just so you can clean up/tweak your audio. (Sound Forge XP Studio comes with ACID Pro, but Sound Forge is much better for complete editing, and since you want top quality... Advice: Check out Sound Forge XP Studio and upgrade to Sound Forge as it'll be cheaper that way.) Iacobus |
