Hello, I need a software and/or plug-in that includes, among its facilities, a function which reads and emulates other production's characteristics to copy onto another. For example if I am mastering and I would like similar settings (frequency characteristics) of a well finished master to be read so I could apply onto my own work. Which of the Sonic Foundry product(s) can do the job? Thanx Maria |

I don't think this can be done. You can use the Spectrum Analysis and Statistics tools to analyze a sound file, but most of what you find out will be dependant on the material itself rather than on any mastering processes performed upon it. |

Steinberg's "Free Filter" does this. Or if you want to see the frequencies and capture a curve then this can be done with Sound Technologies "SpetraLab" |
