Hello,
I need a software and/or plug-in that includes, among its facilities, a function which reads and emulates other production's characteristics to copy onto another. For example if I am mastering and I would like similar settings (frequency characteristics) of a well finished master to be read so I could apply onto my own work. Which of the Sonic Foundry product(s) can do the job?

I don't think this can be done. You can use the Spectrum Analysis and Statistics tools to analyze a sound file, but most of what you find out will be dependant on the material itself rather than on any mastering processes performed upon it.

Steinberg's "Free Filter" does this. Or if you want to see the frequencies and capture a curve then this can be done with Sound Technologies "SpetraLab"
