my ??? is that if i can use acid 2.0 to record my mix sets and then from there make my mixes into tracks...

Kinda sorta. I think you'd be better off with Vegas and/or Sound Forge though, especially if you're only recording rather than creating. ACID's ability to record is nice and great to have but it's rudimentary compared to the other two programs' abilities.
