Hello everyone, I am new to this software. The reason I obtained this software was to transfer my demo vocals onto my hard drive, manipulate them and then burn to CD. My friend, Jeff, is a recording engineer and I am the computer buff. Together we are trying to figure this program out. I want to clean up my demos and maybe add effects to them. I do not have my master tapes, so I am assuming that any effect would go on the whole track. Am I correct in assuming this? Can anyone help us get started? What should be do? Thanking in advance... |

Sound Forge only handles 1 track (stereo or mono), so you will only have one track to work with anyway. You can select portions of the track and apply the effects to only sections of the song if you wish. I'm not sure how helpful that will be though. Do you have any more specific questions about what you'd like to accomplish? At this point i'm assuming that you have been able to record your demo tape into a .wav file on the drive and open it in Sound Forge, right? |
