Place a marker where you want each track to begin (position the cursor, press the M key). Also add markers at the beginning and end of the file. Under Special, select Regions List, Markers to Regions. Then under Tools select Extract Regions. This will let you save each track as a separate .WAV file. You may then use your favorite DAO capable CD burning software (Nero, Roxio, etc.) to create a new CD from those files with no gaps between the tracks. |

Look for a "Disc At Once" mode when burning your CDs. This eliminates the 2 second gap between songs and also makes a disc that is much more likely to be compatible with all audio CD players. Don't use "Track At Once" for audio CDs. Unfortunately, this is the only method that Sound Forge 5.0 supports at this time. This is why we have you save your tracks as separate .WAV files and then go into another CD burning program to make the CD. I use Adaptec (Roxio) Easy CD Creator, which came free with my CD burner. Lots of other people recommend Nero. But if you already have burning software installed, go ahead and try that. |

If you haven't specified any particular place to save the files, try looking in C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Sound Forge 5.0 That's the default location. Easy CD Creator is available for purchase at http://www.roxio.com/ |

Ummmmmmm ..... Where are you seeing these 1K files? Are they all .cda files on the CD after you've burned it? If they are, you're looking at a CD-Audio disc in explorer and only seeing the directory listing. These are just place holders to indicate that the files are there. Try playing the disc in an audio CD player, or Start, Run, CDPLAYER.EXE. If you have successfully created an audio CD then you should hear the music. |
