Subject:trouble loading a large (34meg) mp3

hi. i have sound forge 5 and i have a cd on my hard drive as one whole mp3. i want to use sound forge to load the large mp3 and cut out the individual songs and save them as seperate mp3's. sounds simple enough. but when i go to load the large mp3 (it is pink floyd's entire "animals" cd which is roughly 45 minutes in length) only 6 minutes and 49 seconds of the file comes up. what am i doing wrong?

Do you still have access to the CD? If so, extract all the tracks as .wav files instead of as an MP3 file. Then do your processing of the individual tracks from there.
