Vegas 2 on XP

This must have been asked before but I can not find the answer. Can I run VV2 on XP? Next question is since I have VV2 is it really worth going to VV3? I looked at the compairison sheet and really did not see all that much. Since I do not create DVD's yet I don't need that feature so what's the real story. If I'm missing something please let me know so I can look again and maybe upgrade. TIA

I'm running VV2 on XP with no problems.

WinXP & VV3 work fine for me (didn't have VV2), and VV3 is a state-of-the-art video editor. I've read that the audio features also were upgraded in VV3, perhaps not as significantly.

I think VV3 is a very significant upgrade as compared to most software upgrades. if you don't see features you'll use then skip it, but it is a HUGE upgrade to my eyes anyway. these are some things off the top of my head...

- treatement of stereo files (can choose left/right/combine)
- print to tape from timeline <-- huge for me
- batch capture
- retains last transition setting for next transition
- project trimming (saves lots of time/space)
- motion path curves (still looking for bezier handles though :)
- sequential stills import <-- HUGE!!
- new median filter with cool effects (although incredibly cpu intensive!)
- new auto-backup features

okay I could do this for a LONG LONG time so just rest assured that the upgrade is worth it. OR why not try the demo and see for yourself :D ?
