Failed to verify - unknown frame type -AC-3 Encoder

I am attempting to create a 5.1 Audio CD. The examples I have gotten on the internet work wonderfully, however I can't get mine to work. I have tried extracting the ac3 from a couple different vob files. When I try to open the files in soft encode, it says it is unable to verify the file because of an unknown frame type (Frame 641). Anyone have any advice? or anywhere I can get some ac3 files to test the process on my own? I have tried converting the DD wav and PCM wav. When I try the DD wav on my DVD player, it flashes digital, like its kind of reading the signal, but it is silent. Thanks for any help.
