It seems like this should be a no-brainer, but how do I monitor the track I'm recording while listening to the tracks already recorded??? I'm using analog inputs (not midi).

I had this same problem. You might look at similar questions in Older Topics on the forums.
I got around it by purchasing a simple, external mixer with and Aux fader sending the signal of the current track being recorded to the headphones along with already recorded tracks.
It seems to be not possible to do this just using a consumer level PC soundcard.

Also if your soundcard has a mixer you can set up monitoring from the mixer (with your soundcard's inputs + wave outputs) and recording from the inputs of your soundcard.
This is what I do with my Audiophile 2496.

Hope this helps

Not true. Even a "standard" sound card (Full Duplex) you can monitor your playback while you are recording a new track through your headphones. Also, using Acid there is a box you need to check (monitor playback...I believe).

I do it all the time.

Hope this helps.
