Overwrite from Paste Special -Sound Forge - Scripting

I use this function constantly while editing, and I find it a chore to use the popup context menu to overwrite a selection with the sample I have on the clipboard. It's unfortunate that a keyboard shortcut wasn't provided by Sony, but that's the way it is. What I want is to make a selection on a waveform, then hit a key which will invoke the overwrite action. The function can be found on the Edit menu, Paste Special submenu. It's also on the context menu when you right click in the waveform after making a selection. I've written all kinds of code before, but I really have no idea where to start with scripting in Sound Forge. Assistance with this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
