send video from camera with effects to projector?

I'm asking this as a general question as well as within Vegas. I would like to plug my webcam into my laptop and then project full screen through a projector. I would like to add video effects as its projecting and be able to change the effects during the filming. I'm pretty inexperienced in this field and am stumped on how to do it. If there are any suggestions I'd be very grateful. If I can do it within my Vegas Movie Studio 11 Platinum that would be great but I only see adding effects while editing an already captured video. This is for a music performance and the video they see should be in sync with the movement on stage. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated, as I said, within Vegas or another program. Thanks

Realtime streaming with effects processing is beyond the scope of nonlinear editing.
IPhone maybe?

Ebay search for 'video effects processor' Most are under $200.

May or may not support your webcam, but any of these will work with any camera that has an SD analog line-level video output.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't see it until now. To further explain. An ideal solution would be to have my smartphone next to me with various filters in large icons. Currently I use Android but would consider iphone if it was the only alternative. When I would press the icon on the phone it would send a signal (bluetooth or wifi)to the laptop to change the effect. Of course, I'd be happy to bypass the laptop altogether if the quality was similar.
I checked out ebay and saw a few pretty complicated looking machines. What I want to do is so simple in comparison. I was actually nearly doing it with the XP software that came with the Logitech webcam but they stripped it out for Win10 and I never could find out how to get them again elsewhere. Any more tips appreciated.

I'm not so advanced on this. If I could just use a quality webcam on a phone and could then select various filters on the fly and send that to a projector I'd be on my way.?
