Hey guys, I've been having huge issues with Acid Pro running on my new Dell XPS i5 Windows 10 machine. I'd continually get VST crashes, and .dll errors and messages like - ACID Pro 7.0 Version 7.0e (Build 713) Exception 0xC0000005 (access violation) READ:0x290E1000 IP:0x3133C599 In Module 'acid70k.dll' at Address 0x31060000 + 0x002DC599 Thread: TrackRender ID=0x1998 Stack=0x088EF000-0x088F0000 Registers: > 088EF604: 3133D580 31060000 + 2DD580 (acid70k.dll) > 088EF61C: 31338239 31060000 + 2D8239 (acid70k.dll) > 088EF628: 31338F4D 31060000 + 2D8F4D (acid70k.dll) > 088EF630: 31339D60 31060000 + 2D9D60 (acid70k.dll) > 088EF68C: 3133027F 31060000 + 2D027F (acid70k.dll) > 088EF698: 31339E4A 31060000 + 2D9E4A (acid70k.dll) > 088EF6A4: 31335043 31060000 + 2D5043 (acid70k.dll) > 088EF6D0: 6A797476 6A780000 + 17476 (MSVCR80.dll) If This is familiar to anybody else I finally figured out a trick that has been working so far... If you go to your Acid70.exe file (probably in C:/Program Files (x86)/Sony/Acid Pro 7.0) and right click --> Properties --> Compatibility [TAB] --> Change Setting For All Users. And then select "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7", as well as "Run this program as an administrator". Hopefully this helps anybody having similar issues, and here's to hoping for a 64bit version of Acid Pro in 2017! |
