Subject:Breaking a single file into many files

I frequently am in the position of having a single file that I want to burn to CD, but I want to place CD indexes marks within the file and then burn DOA with no gap between the tracks. I have no trouble doing in manually -- I place markers where I want the CD index marks and number them consecutively (01, 02, 03, etc). I then select the portion of the file between 01 and 02, drag it to SF's workspace to create a new file, and then save the new file as 01.wav. I do that to all the portions of the file between the markers (so I have files named 01.wav, 02.wav, etc), and then use the CD burning software to make the CD. The question is -- why isn't there a command to do this for me automatically? Or is there? Is there a way to automatically divide a single file into many files using the names of the markers or regions to name the new files? |

1.) Place your Markers 2.) Menu Special -> Region List -> Markers to Region 3.) Menu Tools -> Extract Regions |

Thank you very much. No matter what search terms I used, I was unable to locate this in the online help. |
