Is there a way to burn a cd without the 2 second delay inbetween tracks in Acid Pro 3.0 or Sound forge 5?

I don't know could you render your songs as wav. files and then add them as seperate tracks in acid? then you could even crossfade between songs.

No, because both ACID and Sound Forge (amazingly) only do Track-at-Once (TAO) burning, which requires the use of the 2-second gap due to the laser being turned off between burning tracks. There's variable-gap TAO too, but isn't as prevalent as just TAO.

Vegas Video 3 doesn't have this problem and provides Disc-at-Once (DAO) burning (which leaves the laser on while burning and closes the disc after burning). I'm guessing that the next versions of ACID and Sound Forge will have DAO.

Alternatively, both Ahead Software's Nero Burning ROM and Roxio's Easy CD Creator provide DAO as well. Janboi also made a good suggestion as well.

However, AFAIK, either of the nero or ezcd can do crossfade. VV3 does and got the feature from CDArchitect which was discontinued by SF. :(
