Need help with "Facebook Like Counter"

Hello Vegas Community!

I work in the Video Department for a German Theatre and we have a production coming up in which the Director wants to show that a character is getting "millions" of likes in a time lapsed manner. So projecting a like button and a number next to it counting upward really fast.
Has anybody ever created such an effect? Is it possible with Sony Vegas or is there maybe some other (free) Software that can do that?

I hope you understand what it is im looking for since this is fairly hard to describe. Which is why I haven't been able to find a solution for this so far, as it's hard to even Google it...
I'd really appreciate some help.

Cheers,
Chris

Vegasaur toolkit is free within 30 day trial period. It has text wizard that can generate various counters.

You could add a timecode fx to an empty event, mask off all but the seconds and decimal parts, it would take some fussing...

Use the "Absolute Frames" Timecode FX. The only gotcha is that there's a period and then 3 trailing digits (000) at the end but this won't be a problem.
Use Legacy text to add a comma and place it over top of the period. No one will be the wiser.
I just tried it with an event that ran 11 min. 18 sec. and the AF counter read 16,284,000 at the end of it. That should be enough likes :)
