Green Screen Trouble.

Just shot a video using a greenscreen. Using Hitfilm Chroma Key got reasonable results except that some items in the video contain colours that match the greenscreen - argh! Just didn't notice. Is there any way to mask part of the greenscreen area or use cookie cutter or something. Never really used greenscreen before. Would really like to avoid a reshoot and even if I did I doubt I could find a single colour that doesn't match items that must be used. Any solution, thanks.

Here is a way you could fix it. Place a copy of your green screen footage on the timeline with the exact same clip below it on a separate track. The top clip will have the parts that are getting accidentally keyed out with green screen. The lower track is your current Hitfilm green screened clip. Select pan/crop on the top clip. Select Mask. Select the Anchor Creation tool on the left side. It looks like a pen. Make a mask around the parts that are getting accidentally keyed out with the green screen. This should lay perfectly on top of the parts on the lower clip that are getting unintentionally keyed out. This should cover the holes made by the keying process. It may get a little tedious, but hopefully better than reshooting.

Thanks Greg, tedious is right, but it worked.
