SOT: Sony a6300

I was wondering if any other users here have pulled the trigger on Sony's new a6300 and what your experiences are recording video with it.

Thanks for you reply. I read most of it even before I bought the camera. The only downside I see is the overheating when shooting video or even shoot RAW stills.
The 4K at 24P 35mm looks even better then my AX100 which I still think is an awesome camera for its price tag. Bought it mainly as an upgrade to an aging NEX-F3 that I managed to sell off but also to see what the hype is about when it comes to shooting video with a DSLR stile camera, I know it's mirrorless and not DSLR but I think you know what I mean.
So from my perspective, for the average shooter there is nothing better then a proper video camera. There aren't enough customizable buttons and even the standard buttons and hard to find during recording. The EVF is too small and hard to use outdoors with the small eyecup, the screen is useless outdoors, period.
However, under a controlled environment and with lots of extra gear, I can see why one would do so and have a system with exchangeable lenses.
However, it also showed me how good the AX100 really is, you can grade the 4K 24P to look equal to the a6300 and the 1080P is by far better on the AX100. While the lens on the AX100 isn't the fastest, it has nothing to worry about when compared to the kit SELP1650 and the SEL55210 that I currently own. The other big issue I have with the a6300 is no headphone jack. Now I am waiting for the SELP18105G lens and give the camera another go. I was hoping that with the a6300 I would have a camera that does do both well, stills and video so that I only have to bring one on my trips. I wish the AX100 would have the RS sensor or there would be an APS-C video camera in the stile of an AX100 at a reasonable cost, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Hopefully there will be a solution to the overheating soon.

Thanks again for your reply. I ordered the 18-105mm G lens with power zoom because I got the 55-210mm lens already. I just tested the a6300 in 1080 60p Super 35mm with the Sharpness at +3 and it looks actually pretty good, so there is hope I could use it as a B roll for my sport events too and it doesn't overheat either. The 16-50mm kit lens is actually where soft even in 4K, only good for wide open shots.

I haven't done any low light tests yet. let me know what you have in mind and I see what I can do.

Based on what I have seen on YouTube. AX100 is no match for A6300. A6300 low light performance is impressive up to Iso 12800.

I've been reading a lot about the A6300 out of general interest but felt a "bridge" camera such as the RX10iii would more closely meet my needs as an all-in-one solution. The RX10iii dropped at a local camera shop and I am rendering some 4K samples from it right now. My first impression of the RX10iii: IT'S BIG!. I may have to look at the A6300 more closely.

The RX10iii is a great camera but has the same 1" sensor as my AX100 whereas the a6300 uses an APS-C sensor and in Super 35mm mode reads the whole 6K sensors to scale it to 4K.
