Can't highlight text in the "generate text media&

So this is a weird issue that I didn't have on my old computer. My old computer has windows 7, and my new one has windows 10. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Anyway, I can't hold in the left mouse button and highlight the "sample text" in the generate text media window. I can't change the font size, style, etc. without being able to highlight the text...

Is this a bug maybe? Everything else in the program works perfectly.

It works fine for me on Windows 10.

Are you using the same Media Generator template on both computers?

Was Movie Studio installed AFTER you installed Windows 10?

And which version of Movie Studio are you using?

- I didn't know there was different media generators. I just use the one that pops up when I right click on the time line and select "insert generated text media".

- I did install the program after windows 10 was installed on my computer already. I have the program installed onto a solid state hard drive, as I do with all other programs that I use on my computer.

- I'm using Sony movie studio platinum 12

Like I said, the rest of the program works perfectly. It's just this one weird little glitch/bug that's not working. It didn't do this on my old computer, which is weird.

Should I just uninstall and reinstall the program?

I'm afraid that if I do that I may run into more problems though.

I've searched all over Google and the forums, and it doesn't seem like anyone else is having this issue.

Anyone have any suggestions?

No one was able to help me figure this out, not even support.

So I did some research on my own about highlighting text in general (not just in sony movie studio), and it turns out that the program "synergy" which allows me to use one mouse/keyboard configuration with 2 computers, was the cause of the issue.

Once I disable synergy, it works fine.

Hopefully this may help someone that experiences this issue in the future.

Thanks for coming back and posting the solution. It might help out someone else some day.
