I found a site that doles out tips and tweaks for using the OS in an audio production environment. It's really good. Told me more than Microsoft's so-called Help and Support ever could. I forgot who asked about getting XP not to be so draconian with devices in one's system (Rednroll?), but there's also a great tweak on there that wrestles a little more control of your devices away from XP (by basically turning off ACPI). I finally got my soundcard on its own IRQ like it should be with the tweak. Iacobus
