Subject:Low sample and bit rate .wav file playback?

Forum,

How can I use my Sound Forge to playback a .wav file lower than 8 bit? The sound file that I have is the following: 16Kbps, 2bit, 1 mono, 8Khz.

If you open it in the Windows Sound Recorder. You may be able to change the setting . Go to "File" , "Properties" , "Convert Now" and select a new bit depth and sample freq.. I've never messed with anything below 8 bits so I'm not sure it can be done that way. Let us know how you make out. good luck
