Hi quadjack. I re-read the posts you mentioned to refresh my memory but it didn't help me :-( When you get to be my age memory is like Swiss cheese. I see I sent you some screen shots about noise reduction in Word format but I don't know now what they were. I don't save email as I get too much. Should I "tweak your nose" about losing them? I do have a MS Word Doc that I wrote for some friends who restore music. The subject is about restoring the music from ancient sources; 78RPM records, tapes, etc. It has a section on noise reduction with screen shots and *may* cover what you have in mind. It covers much more than you want however. It wasn't written by an expert ~ it was written by me ~ if a "purist" ever reads it I'll be on his hit list. It's kind of a big file though, around 1.5 megs if I recall. Let me know. jgalt |

yes sir you sent me some shots of how to run through the noise print proceedures, they even had a tutorial of how to raise and lower the volume and it showed me how to cut and copy parts of the song where there was no needed sound to match to other parts of the track, compile, then remove that unwanted noise. it was like a step-by-step tutorial. it also had procee's on how to normalize, it was not that long maybe about 5 task and about 4 or 5 paragraphs. please resend if you know what i am refering to to teej@comcast.net |
