tried saving work layout.

everytime i open project my loop region isnt saved.
track seconds and +++++ to zoom in to track thumbnails,
setting to head,center,tail.

is there anyway to preserve these settings as defaults?

is there an input box to type a frame # or millisecond go directly there?

can i setup a loop region without dragging, can i type a range somehow?

thanks!! cant find in help file.

CTRL-G type in the start timecode of the loop (using . for colons)

CTRL-SHIFT-G type in end timecode

Selection should happen automatically, if not hit SHIFT-Q

Not that I know of. But you could put a MARK on the in and out to make it easier to find.

As DonaldT says, use Markers/Regions. When you have a loop region, Insert > Region (shortcut R) and name it if you like. When you save and reopen the project, the region is there. Double-click on the Marker Bar between the green markers to see your Loop Region.

Can you not use Time Zoom Control? Click + to zoom in horizontally, or click - to zoom out.

You can also use the Horizontal Scroll Bar.
Drag the scroll box to pan the view of the project left or right. The ends of the scroll bar also function as zoom controls. You can zoom the project in and out by dragging the edges of the scroll box.

Takes a fraction of the time your post took to make.

Just tell me that you do not get your old Loop Region, if you double-click on the Marker Bar between the green markers (Saved Region) and I'll shut up. Works for me, as do the shortcuts DonaldT mentioned.

response from support, they said could ask in product suggestion.

, if the option to save your zoom level and loop region with your project is something you would like to see in the software, you are welcome to submit a product suggestion here: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/support/suggestions
