MXF plus MPG on timeline... render as mpg?

Hello there,
as you could read in "Subject" I have problem with rendering my project which is actually containing this files/items:

mxf

mpg

still images

Titles

Solid color

Audio track

It is also necessary to POINT OUT that some files such as video are in Properties (interlaced) but e.g. Titles (+Pan/Crop animation) is in Properties (progressive)... Don't know if it changes something i didn't set up anything!

I also have to mention that I have several troubles with SonyVegas Pro in last months, it freeze and stopped working many times without no evident problem...

Well there was one exception! There was one reason of freezing which I solved:
>corrupted file (it took hours to identify the wrong one and be so fast to remove it from the project and save it "as new" before it freeze again!

I don't know if you work as me, but I do cut or copy from another Sony Vegas Project window some event(s) and Paste it to different opened Sony Vegas Project Window, but it doesn't affect final render.

However my project felt down randomly in past months, sometimes just after few seconds of editing, sometimes after hours of work...

THIS TIME I ASK because I have original video files from my camcorder SONY_DCR_SR32 in MPG but I rendered it as mxf - don't ask me why?;) It was year ago. And I edit this mxf video in whole track! crossfades, pan/crop animation, color correction, etc...,

NOW i would like to render this videa AS MPEG-2 Wide Screen 720x576 but rendering freeze every time I try it! Now I try render to MP4 and it works! though slowly.

I would like to work with this project in next days again because it is just one part of whole day film making... so it would really help me if it would not freeze every 1/2 hour or less! so any tips would be warmly welcome!

Thank you guys!

Thoughts?

A] What WILL be your final delivery?

B] If needed, DI any funky/naughty Media to Vegas friendly workflows.

My MXF files are also MPEG, well my Canon XF300 Output is.

A/ Final delivery? it is wedding shooted in 720x576 so i would like to produce in best quality possible ( I guess mpg2 Widescreen 25fps PAL) and final product should be also on DVD
If that was the question?

B/ I don't understand at all :D
"DI" ????
Do you mean convert mxf to MPEG? if so... which free license software use...
But i have already edit more than 70 minutes of mxf, so it would be hard to convert it or do you think it should work and could be automatically replaced in project if I replace mxf files by converted MPEG with same name of file but different ending (mxf x mpeg)?

Are you using one of the DVDA DVD templates for Vegas to render to? Does your project properties match your MXF source files?

Are you using CPU or GPU to render to? If GPU, try CPU. If you are using GPU to preview etc for your normal timeline work, change the RAM in prefs to zero.

Must remind the OP and everyone else that MXF is a container, while Mpg is a codec.

Suspect here.. is the MXF that this OP used or created. The Sony included MXF has MPeg2 codec which is very high-quality and does function well as a direct import video stream outside of the normal templates for authoring in DVDAPro.

I have smart-rendered mpeg2 from different containers (mxf, mp4, m2t) together. Just so long as the mpeg2 data itself is the same it works just fine. I believe that's what you are asking.

Thank all involved users in my posted issue! I turned off my GPU and set Dynamic RAM Preview to 0. All works smooth and easy. Good help was for me to know how work with preview window quality display and how selectively prerender my videos;)
