I have both SF 10 and 11 on a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit PC (specs in my profile are current). I've run with SF since 1996. I'm transferring some classic out-of-print vinyl to digital. Discs are in EX-VG condition, but there is still some crackle, etc. I planned to do the transfers at 96 kHz-24 bit. A year or so ago I got the full Vegas Pro 13 Suite upgrade which includes SF 11 and many more titles. Vegas 13 has done what I needed and been mostly reliable. I was surprised, or rather dismayed, at all the seemingly unnecessary and downright counter-intuitive interface changes in SF 11 and the nearly total lack of improvements to this core product. The turntable output goes directly to a dedicated Cambridge Audio Preamp then to the Delta 1010 Rackmount DRS running at 24 bit, 96 kHz. Using SF 10 there are no problems. I'm using the ASIO driver. When I use SF 11 a couple times it has actually recorded at 24 bit, 96 kHz, but other times it will just crash the SF 11 app. Nothing else running to interfere and if I use SF 10 it is rock stable session after session. Drivers are up to date and tools like Photoshop and Vegas 13 run reliably on this pretty rock-stable workstation. Has anybody else run into this with 96/24 audio and found any solutions? It looks like I will have to revert to SF10 to get this done but I really don't want to since I'm not going to get accustomed to the scrambled interface if I don't use it! Or, is SF 11 really just a crappy upgrade and I should write off the cost? Thanks in advance. Wayne |

Yeah, I have issues with 11 as well... Use 10 but wish I could take 11 prime time but it's not happening. I'd like to see an update to fix some of the issues.. sigh |
